A Survey on Sub-Nyquist Sampling
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper gives a survey of sub-Nyquist sampling. Sub-Nyquist sampking is of great interest in the environment that sampling by Nyquist rate is infeasible due to either hardware or software limitation. The survey summarizes a number of recent important researches on sub-Nyquist sampling (compressive sensing). In addition to the basics of sub-Nyquist sampleing, including the fundamental theory and the way it works, numerous compressive sensing recovery algorithms are also presented. Some selected compressive sensing applications are also shown in the survey.

Non-uniform Sampling for Spectral Analysis of Multi-band Signals
Recently, sub-Nyquist sampling of wideband signals has gained much attention in wireless communications. One of the main reasons for this popularity is the reduction in energy consumption in the ADCs. In this paper, we present an overview of the best known non-uniform sub-Nyquist sampling techniques and the associated spectral analysis. Spectral analysis using sub-Nyquist samples can be done in...
متن کاملMulti-rate Sub-Nyquist Spectrum Sensing in Cognitive Radios
Wideband spectrum sensing is becoming increasingly important to cognitive radio (CR) systems for exploiting spectral opportunities. This paper introduces a novel multi-rate sub-Nyquist spectrum sensing (MS) system that implements cooperative wideband spectrum sensing in a CR network. MS can detect the wideband spectrum using partial measurements without reconstructing the full frequency spectru...

We introduce a full hardware implementation and demo of a sub-Nyquist radar receiver. Our system demonstrates pulse-Doppler radar transmission and reception at sub-Nyquist rates. Specifically, we sample the received radar signal at 1/20 the Nyquist rate, while still perfectly detecting the targets in the delayDoppler plane. In addition our system filters clutter interference from the sub-Nyquis...
متن کاملSubsampling in Information Theory and Data Processing a Dissertation Submitted to the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Committee on Graduate Studies of Stanford University in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy
An ubiquitous challenge in modern data and signal acquisition arises from the evergrowing size of the object under study. Hardware and power limitations often preclude sampling with the desired rate and precision, which motivates the exploitation of signal and/or channel structures in order to enable reduced-rate sampling while preserving information integrity. This thesis is devoted to underst...
متن کاملXampling: Analog to digital at sub-Nyquist rates
We present a sub-Nyquist analog-to-digital converter of wideband inputs. Our circuit realizes the recently proposed modulated wideband converter, which is a flexible platform for sampling signals according to their actual bandwidth occupation. The theoretical work enables, for example, a sub-Nyquist wideband receiver, which has no prior information on the transmitter carrier positions. Our desi...
